Meaningful Use Update

Dear Valued Customers:

The initial stage for ONC standards sunsets Oct 4, 2012. Known as the “temporary certification program” or “Stage 1”, it has been replaced by the “Stage 2” standards, published on September 7, 2012 and take effect Oct 4. The new rule removes the “temporary” designation; it is now referred to as the ONC HIT Certification Program. The new rule also renamed “Stage 1” and “Stage 2” to the “2011 Edition” and “2014 Edition”, respectively.

Adding Software Expertise

Spring 2012, Jim Rhodes joined the team at SMART. In his role as software Customer Support Representative, Jim adds his years of expertise to our knowledgeable and dedicated staff of professionals. He is excited to further SMART’s efforts to effectively service your medical, clinical and billing software needs. With 10 years of customer service experience, he is poised to continuously provide the level of service that you have come to expect as a SMART Partner. Jim attended CCRI and RIC, and is currently continuing his education to achieve his MSW. When he is not hard at work, Jim loves to hike and ride his motorcycle. He is an avid music fan who enjoys playing and attending concerts and acts as an animal, human, and social rights advocate.
