“Boston Public Health Commission chose the SMART software after investigating other software packages. BPHC’s OTP Clinic has two sites: one for dosing, the other for counseling, which created a major challenge in providing quality, coordinated care. SMART system provides real time information that allows staff to feel confident in their clinical decisions. In addition, SMART reports provide excellent data for quality improvement projects. The software’s ability to track medication inventory greatly reduced staff time, errors and meets all DEA requirements.
